This is my first sunrise photo on FAA because I'm just not an early riser and my condo faces due west. I was on a cruise, somewhere between Key West and Cozumel and caught this sunrise from my balcony December 2022.

I've been dabbling in photography since the late 70's, starting with an Instamatic and going through several film SLRs until I got my first digital, an early Nikon Coolpix. I've had a succession of both DSLR and Point-and-Shoot cameras. I've come to the conclusion that the camera does not make the photographer. A good photographer can take excellent pictures with any camera. I enhance some of my photographs digitally with Photoshop, and a suite of Topaz plugins. For simple editing sometimes I use Gimp.
