Artist's Description

This photo was originally taken with a film camera in July 1981, a wedding in Cape Cod. The light was streaming into the church and the little girl was practically in shadows. I recently scanned it, and have treated it with a painterly effect.

I've been dabbling in photography since the late 70's, starting with an Instamatic and going through several film SLRs until I got my first digital, an early Nikon Coolpix. I've had a succession of both DSLR and Point-and-Shoot cameras. I've come to the conclusion that the camera does not make the photographer. A good photographer can take excellent pictures with any camera. I enhance some of my photographs digitally with Photoshop, and a suite of Topaz plugins. For simple editing sometimes I use Gimp. I'm an avid Walt Disney...
